Advent is a season of waiting. Waiting can be painful, at times, unless we know what we are waiting for. Past prophecy that has been fulfilled in Scripture provides such hope that God will fulfill His future promises to us. 

In this Advent series, we will examine the lives of those dealing with the human problem of waiting in Luke 1-2 and Matthew 1-2. We’ll look at various prophecies that these people were waiting for and how they were fulfilled at the birth of Jesus. In some cases, the full extent of the prophecy has yet to be fulfilled until the future return of Christ.
