Rooted introduces participants to the 7 Rhythms of a disciple modeled in the New Testament. Through Bible study, sharing, and learning experiences, participants are challenged to step outside their comfort zones and live out their faith. This approach helps followers of Jesus to not only study the core discipleship rhythms…but to actually experience them.
FAQs
How many people are in a Rooted group?
A Rooted group consists of 7-12 people. After the 10 weeks, that group becomes a LifeGroup.
I’m currently in an RCC LifeGroup, should my group go through Rooted?
Rooted is designed to launch new LifeGroups. Existing groups will have the opportunity to experience Rooted and should contact the Discipleship Pastor for more information.
What if I can’t commit to 10 weeks?
10 weeks is a significant commitment, but it is worth it! If you have to miss more than 2 weeks, it would be a good idea to go through Rooted at a different time. Each week of Rooted builds on the previous week, so you will miss a significant portion of Rooted if you are only there for 7 of the 10 weeks or less.
Where will my group meet?
Most Rooted groups will meet at the church. Your Rooted facilitator will determine the group meeting times and room.
Who should go through Rooted?
Rooted is a great experience for anyone. It’s for people who have been walking with the Lord for 40 years, 4 minutes, or are still actively seeking.
What is the difference between Rooted and Life Groups?
Your Rooted group will become your Life Group after 10 weeks. The experiences in Rooted are beneficial for Life Groups to go through together and most Rooted groups grow so close during Rooted that they want to stay together after they finish 10 weeks.
What is the difference between Rooted and a Discipleship Class?
A class focuses on knowledge and delivers information. Rooted ensures that you are putting that knowledge into practice through experiences. For example, in a class you will learn about prayer, while in Rooted, you will have an active prayer experience.
Is childcare available?
Depending on the need, childcare could be an option. Contact the Discipleship Pastor if you need childcare.
